I have been hill walking for over thirty years although in the early days this only involved a few trips each year to the Cairngorms or Lochnagar areas. In fact it was several years before I realised what a Munro. Actually was, and 1997 before I completed my first round on Ben More on the Island of Mull. Since then I have completed a further four rounds, two Corbett. These links will take you to a blog which gives an account of these ascents.

The approach to Inverlochy Castle. Inverlochy Castle is set among trees on the banks of the River Lochy. When visiting the Fort William area do stop off to look around Old Inverlochy Castle. Although now a ruin this was one of the most important castles in Scottish history and has been the backdrop for two major historical events, the first and second battles of Inverlochy.
